NB: Whilst you may wish to talk to older children about their hopes for and concerns about life after separation, it is absolutely critical that they are not required (or feel required) to make decisions that should properly be made by their parents.
Whatever choices and decisions you make, ensure that your child knows that the responsibility for them is yours and not theirs.
